TECHNICAL DETAILS

With our server being as developed as it is,
There's bound to be some details that need to be elaborated upon.
Especially with vanilla mechanics being tweaked, wE LIKE TO INFORM.

This PAGE will tell you about all the tweaks we've made to make the server run smoothly, and work to our liking (AND SOME FUN ADDONS)

QOL CHANGES/TWEAKS

ON THE SPOT SMP WE HAVE ADDED FEATURES TO FIT OUR COMMUNITIES NEEDS,
BUT THERE WERE STILL SOME THINGS BUGGING US.

THAT'S WHY WE CHOSE TO PROVIDE SOME QUALITY-OF-LIFE ADDITIONS THAT IMPROVE THE VANILLA EXPERIENCE.

INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- BEEHIVES HOLD UP TO 5 BEES.
- TRIDENTS HAVE A HIGHER DROP RATE.
- BARRELS HAVE THE SIZE OF A DOUBLE CHEST.
- PHANTOMS ARE DISABLED IN THE MAIN WORLD.
- DOLPHINS, AND (TRADER) LLAMAS ARE RIDEABLE.
- TOTEMS WORK FROM ANY SLOT IN YOUR INVENTORY.
- RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS DON'T RESET UPON SLEEP.
- MENDING AND INFINITY ARE ALLOWED TOGETHER ON BOWS.
- BUDDING AMETHYST CAN BE PICKED UP USING SILK TOUCH.
- FIXED SOME SMALL BUGS WITH TRIDENTS, VOID SAVING ETC.
- SPAWNERS CAN NO LONGER BE CHANGED WITH SPAWN EGGS.- 20% OF ONLINE PLAYERS HAVE TO SLEEP TO SKIP THE NIGHT.
- TRIDENTS RETURN TO YOUR OFFHAND WHEN THROWN FROM YOUR OFFHAND.
- YOU CAN THROW CONCRETE POWDER INTO A CAULDRON TO CONVERT IT INTO CONCRETE.


MOB SPAWNING

To optimize and implement a few fixes to certain bugs some vanilla behaviour has been edited on our server.
HERE ARE THE DETAILS OF THE CHANGES WE'VE MADE.

mob spawn range - 64 blocks / 4 chunks.

sOFT DESPAWN RANGE - 32 BLOCKS / 2 CHUNKS.
EXPLANATION: MOBS WITHIN 32 BLOCKS WILL STAY LOADED AND MOST LIKELY TRY AND FIND THEIR WAY TOWARDS YOU! oUTSIDE THIS RANGE,
MOBS WILL START TO SLOWLY DESPAWN IF THEY'RE NOT BEING ACTIVATED.

HARD DESPAWN RANGE - 64 BLOCKS / 4 CHUNKS.
EXPLANATION: After this range, mobs will despawn 'hard' meaning mobs will not be outside of the 64-block range. 
if natural mob farms are made, the killing area of the farm should be within this range.

FARMCONTROL

We have a system in place to prevent lag from mobs.
It's called FarmControl, and allows our server to perform better without ruining farms.

VILLAGERS

Any count over 7, within 5 blocks of each other, gets their awareness removed.

Any count over 12, within 9 blocks of each other, gets frozen.


ANIMALS

Any count over 35, within 5 blocks of each other gets frozen.

Any count over 40, within 5 blocks of each other gets killed.

HOSTILE MOBS

Any count over 29, within 4 blocks of each other gets killed.
